    Our organic matchaMidoricomes from the renowned tea region of Kirishima in Kagoshima Prefecture. Along with Nishio and Uji, Kirishima is one of the most famous regions of origin for premium organic matcha in Japan. Thanks to its southern location, the region offers an ideal climate for tencha cultivation, while the nutrient-rich volcanic soils create particularly fertile conditions.

    Kirishima's mountainous landscape, characterized by its volcanic activity, provides mineral-rich soil and has made the region one of Japan's most important green tea producers.

    Midori uses only first-harvest tea, which is carefully picked and sorted by hand. After steaming and gentle drying, the tencha is ground to a particularly fine powder using traditional granite stone mills. This creates a velvety texture that easily whips into cream. With its fresh, vibrant character, Midori is ideal for preparing matcha lattes.
