    Our organic Matcha Yottsu comes from the top region of Kirishima in Kagoshima Prefecture. Along with Nishio and Uji, Kirishima is known for producing the best organic matcha tea in Japan. Its southern location not only makes the climate ideal for growing tencha, but also provides excellent soil conditions. This mountainous region is an active volcanic landscape characterized by particularly mineral-rich and fertile soil. These perfect conditions have established the region as Japan's second-largest green tea producer.

    The raw tea comes exclusively from the first harvest and is picked and sorted by hand. After steaming and gentle drying, the tencha is finely ground on granite stone mills. This gives the tea its fine, velvety texture and makes it easy to whip into a foam. Its fruity and lively character makes our Matcha Yottsu particularly suitable for making Matcha Latte.
